“Praising Arizona”
It’s so very encouraging to hear when big corporations get it, so huge Kudos to Arizona Diamond Backs CEO Derrick Hall for creating the Season Ticket Scholarship Program . . .
I read about it in Rick Reilly’s ESPN column, basically it’s a program that awards Season Tickets to members of their fanbase. They ask fans to write in explaining why they or someone they know should be awarded Season Tickets. The D-Backs of course we’re flooded with emails, but in the end they awarded 18 deserving families Season Ticket Scholarships valued at over a 100K.
That speaks volumes about their organization and alot about Mr. Hall. More companies, and people for that matter, should think like this. I’m sure there are many other programs like this out there that we haven’t heard of, so kudos should also go to Reilly (who’s awesome BTW) for putting it in his column.
