A good friend of mine, Samantha Reitmayer, from the Rovillo + Reitmayer agency, (Weird that she works at a place that shares her last name.) started a blog based around her love for all things style. You know, like design, food, interiors, architecture, entertainment, or “Cool Stuff” as we call it in the dude universe.

It’s a very cool blog. You can tell she put a lot of time into it, as it wreaks of passion and . . . well, style. I can especially relate to her post about NYLO, who does in fact have the MOST comfortable beds EVER!!

It’s a unique project created by Rolyn Barthelman, who’s a Brother-In-Law of a friend of mine (score one for nepotism twice removed!) that features original music by Tim DeLaighter, from The Polyphonic Spree.

especially after The Hangover becomes the number comedy of the summer. He’s definitely got a different sense of humor, and he’s probably not for everyone but he gives me the giggles.

He’s got an ongoing “Public Access” series, called “Between Two Ferns” over at Funny or Die. In this episode he’s interviewing his Hangover co-star, Bradley Cooper.

not sure what he does now for a living, although I heard he’s doing some stunt work on Matthew Vaughn’s new comic book adaptation, Kick-Ass, but whatever the case i think he’s got some feline running thru his blood.

I recently stumbled upon it after a good friend and colleague, Justin Reese, tweeted about Dwight, I mean Rainn’s, twitter background (which is also cool BTW). His twitter page led me to his website, www.SoulPancake.com which is pretty funny – full of dry wit and observations from the every day to the not-so-everyday.

I read about it in Rick Reilly’s ESPN column, basically it’s a program that awards Season Tickets to members of their fanbase. They ask fans to write in explaining why they or someone they know should be awarded Season Tickets. The D-Backs of course we’re flooded with emails, but in the end they awarded 18 deserving families Season Ticket Scholarships valued at over a 100K.

That speaks volumes about their organization and alot about Mr. Hall. More companies, and people for that matter, should think like this. I’m sure there are many other programs like this out there that we haven’t heard of, so kudos should also go to Reilly (who’s awesome BTW) for putting it in his column.

Bill Cochran, or “The” Bill Cochran as it states on his domain (BillCochran.com was taken) is a Children’s author, who wanted a logo and website. So we gave him both.

After his first book, “The Forever Dog“, was a success, Bill wanted to amp up the branding for the release of his second book, “My Parents are Divorced, My Elbows have Nicknames, & Other Facts About Me”

We talked a lot about what he wanted to convey with his brand, and we both decided playful was the way to go. We incorporated his “hand-drawn” caricature into logo, and then just ran with the “hand-drawn” theme for his site. We actually drew the whole thing by hand, then scanned it in and worked a little photoshop magic. The rollover’s are pretty cool as we made the “hand-drawn” elements turn into the real thing.

he’s a Motion Graphics Guru, but he’s also a master at C4D, AE, PS and AI, and usually uses them all to work his magic. He does alot of Faith-based Work, but he also does freelance work for alot of Skate Companies.

We’ve done a few projects together, but nothing where he could really flex his muscle. We’re hoping we get to work together soon on a project we can REALLY blow out.

Get Floored Inc. is, you guessed it, a flooring company. They were looking to give their website a new look, so one of our existing clients referred them to us.

They wanted something simple, yet eye catching that would help separate them from some of their competitors. We first gave their logo a bit of a tweak, and then choose a color palette that really popped. The result accomplished the goal and the client was . . . wait for it . . . “floored.” thank you, thank you.
