Red Dog Air is a small toy company with REALLY big ideas. The began, however, with a simple one: create a high-quality, portable toy airport set for young aviation enthusiasts.

They came to us to help them build not only their brand and website, but the look and feel of their toys as well. It’s been a truly fantastic relationship, one that will surely grow in 2011 as we continue to add all kinds of bells and whistles! But we wanted to our work up to this point. Below you’ll find the logo, the front and back of the actual airport set, the website, and the interactive cockpit, which is going to get a whole lot cooler in the coming year. The cockpit was designed to enhance the play experience of the physical airport set, rather than have the kid sitting in front of a computer screen for hours on end. The whole project has been a blast and we really liked to idea of being a part of something that helps fuel the imagination of children.

Click on the thumbs to enlarge or you can see the website here, we also helped design their blog, twitter, and you tube channel.

BamSmash provides bands and musicians with solutions that blend social media strategies, ticketing, digital fan clubs & VIP access to create the ultimate fan experience. They contacted us to help them design a fan club site for pop artist Sean Kingston.

This was a fun project. First off we had excellent source material. We took A LOT of inspiration from Sean Kingston’s website (check it out here, it’s awesome), then pulled in some Old-School, 80’s Hip Hop, inspired flavor (see gold chain), and then threw in some of Sean’s unique heritage (see flags). Once we had the design done, we handed it over to long-time collaborator VLT, who supplied the back-end development.

We were pleased with the end result and so is the client, we hope Sean’s fan’s enjoy it as much as we enjoyed designing it.

Click on the image below to imbiggun! Or visit the live site here, although you have to join to view most of the content.

So a little shameless self promotion, but promotion nonetheless. This year we, along with about a thousand other companies, dove into the world of App development. Spark Crowd came to us to help them with an idea for a VERY intriguing game/app that helps people meet other people in “real life“, not just in the digital one.

We were all over it! So we partnered with them and have literally helped with nearly every phase of the application, although the majority of it revolves around the brand and design. It’s an ongoing process, that will no doubt see many changes, but we’re excited about where this may go in 2011. We’ll keep you posted, but in the meantime you can learn more about the game here.

I’ve shared some screenshots from version 1 below, but to see it live please download the game (right now it’s only available for iPhone) by going to the app store and searching for Name Tag Game.

Client: The Guitar Santcuary
The Guitar Sanctuary is a new online and retail custom guitar and amp shop that needed an identity and brand. They wanted to capture two things. First, they wanted something that really represented their personal style and was a direct reflection of the mood and atmosphere of the store they were building. Second, they wanted it to capture the look and feel of a truly custom boutique, as far removed from the mega-chain as possible. A place where fellow musicians could call home.

Because we had delivered for them before on other projects, the Guitar Sanctuary called us. Once they shared their vision for the store with us, we knew exactly where to go.

After developing the logo, we did several print ads and their website. They were very please with the results. The website is a full blown e-commerce site, which we designed and then used Volusion (A 3rd party e-commerce solution provider) to supply the e-comm back end. We also helped them with the layout of their you tube channel.

Although guitar-lovers beware you might not want to leave.

Click on the thumbs to embiggun’ or visit their site here.

Again working with Dallas-based agency, Ad Giants, and again with Cici’s Pizza, we were tasked with building another web-based direct mail campaign, however this time the target was potential franchisee’s.

The “recipe” for this this little gem, started with a Rolling Pin, literally. We printed a Personal URL (or PURL for those really late to the party) on a tag and attached it to a Rolling Pin, and that was the mail piece. The PURL drove them to a Flash-Based website that hit each potential Franchisee with CiCi’s value prop, and like I said before CiCi’s is the best pizza value . . . wait for it . . . anywhere.

Click on the thumbs to embiggun’ or see it live here.

Leisa Hart, the world renowned fitness expert & “Buns of Steel” guru, was looking for a face lift on their logo and website. She wanted to include some of the elements from her old logo and brand, particularly the “lh” but give it a modern flair that was natural & organic, yet feminine.

We arrived at the flower-centric look you see below and updated her color palette as well. She was thrilled with the results. We then redesigned her new website and utilized a 3rd party e commerce engine to propel the back-end and “Presto” new site.
