Again working with Dallas-based agency, Ad Giants, and again with Cici’s Pizza, we were tasked with building another web-based direct mail campaign, however this time the target was potential franchisee’s.

The “recipe” for this this little gem, started with a Rolling Pin, literally. We printed a Personal URL (or PURL for those really late to the party) on a tag and attached it to a Rolling Pin, and that was the mail piece. The PURL drove them to a Flash-Based website that hit each potential Franchisee with CiCi’s value prop, and like I said before CiCi’s is the best pizza value . . . wait for it . . . anywhere.

Click on the thumbs to embiggun’ or see it live here.

We worked with VLG and Ad Giants to develop a concept, copy and personalized direct mail invitation for a new campaign promoting Ad Giants’ new online brand management solution.

Using “Giant” literally, we developed “Spot a Giant”. It targeted medium to large size companies who struggle to “stay on top” of their marketing and advertising in a landscape filled with competition. Alas there is a “Giant” among them who can help.

The direct mail invitation featured a Polaroid of our old friend Bigfoot, along with a compass and a map. The map featured the personal URL, which drove the target to the site. We developed the concept, invitation, and copy. VLG did the rest.

Click on the images below to see the direct mail piece and screen shots. You can see the whole thing for real here.

Working again with VLG, we developed a concept, copy and personalized direct mail invitation for their client Blue Arc, who was promoting Titan, their new tiered storage solution.

Considering we were targeting IT folks almost exclusively, we wanted something we thought would really resonate. So we based the entire idea around a comic book. We turned the Titan into a power source that would take any IT department to the next level.

The direct mail invitation featured a superhero stress ball, along with a comic-themed card pointing the user to their personal website. On the site the “comic book” idea really takes form. We developed the concept, invitation, and copy, then VLG worked their magic and the rest as they say . . .

Click on the images below to see the direct mail piece and screen shots. Or see the whole thing for live for real here.

VLG asked us to come up with a direct mail concept for their client Surf Control.

Surf Control offers a wide range of web security products, so we thought it would be cool if we made the targets feel like using Surf Control’s solutions gave them “Superpowers”. This gave way to the Office Superhero concept. We started out by sending each target a 3″ button featuring a “Power Up” symbol (which tied into some existing branding), along with a small card, containing the personalized URL. Once each target logged on to their personal site, they were asked how they would utilize their new found “super powers.” After we flushed out the concept and copy, the VLG folks took care of the rest.

You can view the direct mail piece and each page of the site by clicking on the images below, or you can see it in all its glory here.

“Bounce Back Faster” was developed for the Vialuna Group as a Lead Generation campaign for their client, XO Communications. A beach ball 16″ in diameter was sent, inflated, to a small targeted list of C-Level Executives. The beach ball directed each target to a personalized flash-based, 5 page website. The goal was to set appointments at a large telecom trade show.

The campaign generated a response rate of 47% and led to a number of key appointments.

Working with the Vialuna Group, we created the ‘More Than Hot Air” campaign for Infor, a integrated enterprise software company. Infor needed to get reacquainted with customers who were running older versions of their software. We “Welcomed Back” targets driving them to a personalized, Flash-based website. To get them there we sent them each a balloon and a postcard that contained a URL unique for each target.

The campaign earned a 25% Response Rate & generated over $250,000 in new revenue.
